What a wonderful multilayered experience we had in this enchanting place. Our month at the chateau provided a great opportunity for our family (ten of us, from 3 years old to Grandparents) to enjoy the cultural landscape of the Dordogne region. So much, so close: castles, caves, gardens, boat rides, markets, wine and cheese.
At the chateau itself there was something for everyone: playing outdoors, tennis, swimming, walking, watching the hot-air balloons and retreating to the library to listen to a wide range of beautiful music and read books. It really was a privilege to be able to 'live' in this gorgeous historic family home.

We stayed here as a family group of 8 with 3 children at the end of the summer and had a fantastic time. The location of the property is fabulous- it is on the top of a hill at the end of long private road which winds through woodlands past a tennis court and pigeonnier. The chateau itself is full of character and history and very comfortable - it could take a much larger group without feeling crowded. The only other properties nearby belong to the owners family who made us very welcolme without ever intruding. It is secluded but only a short drive to a lot of the attractions -canoing in the Dordogne is 10 mins away. It is was ideal for our party, the kids could wander around safely in the grounds playing tennis or swimming and the adults could join in or just relax on the terrace. We really enjoyed our stay and will go again as soon as we can - many thanks to Bertrand and family who made the holiday by making us feel right at home.
